INSTRUCTIONS
Begin by preheating your air fryer to 350 degrees. Depending on your make and model of air fryer this temperature can very slightly.
Carefully chop your potatoes into your preferred shape and size.
Add your chopped potatoes to a bowl and mix thoroughly with your seasonings. (You may add a small amount of oil at this point if you feel so inclined.)
Once your Air Fryer is heated to 350 degrees place your fries in the tray.
Let the fries cook for 6 minutes and increase air fryer temperature to 380 degrees.
Remove the fries from the fryer and shuffle them around with tongs being careful not to burn yourself.
Cook for another 15 minutes while flipping the fries over 2-3 more times during this time.
Remove fries when they are golden brown all over.
Serve while hot.

French fries are the ultimate, all time favorite snack for all generations. I can’t remember the last time anyone said that they don’t eat french fries. French fries are not just a snack, they can easily be a side dish to a steak or some other meat or substitution to bread, if bread is part of your diet. This Air Fryer French Fries Recipe produces a lot healthier french fries than conventional way of making them. In this recipe we recommend using only a small amount of oil. Let’s get straight to the recipe.
Ingredients
- 3 medium potatoes
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder/ granulated garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons oil of choice
Method
Step 1
Wash your potatoes, and pat them dry. Peal them if you prefer them pealed.
Step 2
Slice your potatoes to the size fries you want, and try to be somewhat consistent with the size to allow for even cooking.
Step 3
Toss your fries with the oil, garlic, salt and pepper. You can toss them in a bowl, or toss them in your air fryer basket if you are lazy like me!
Step 4
Cook them on 400 in the air fryer for about 20 minutes (more for larger, steak fries), and toss them around a couple times during the cooking to help evenly cook.
Step 5
Taste to see if you need more salt and pepper.
Step 6
If you want to make them look fancy, sprinkle some chopped fresh parsley on top. Honestly, I just did this for the pictures. We never add parsley in real life.
